Micro-Doppler Parameters Extraction of Precession Cone-Shaped Targets Based on Rotating Antenna

Micro-Doppler is regarded as a unique signature of target with micro-motions. The sophisticated recognition the cone-shaped targets can be realized through micro-Doppler effect. However, it difficult to extract micro-motion features perpendicular radar line sight (LOS) effectively. In this paper, parameters extraction method put forward based on rotating antenna. First, new configuration proposed, in which an antenna rotates uniformly fixed circle, thus producing Doppler frequency shift. Second, expression shift induced by precession derived. Then, curves point scatterers at cone top and bottom are separated smoothness curves, empirical mode decomposition (EMD) utilized for detection estimation coning frequency. Finally, components LOS inverted peak curve. Simulation results prove effectiveness robustness proposed method.
